Mad Catz hits playoffs
The group stage of the Mad Catz CS:GO Invitational has come to an end and we are down to the final eight teams as we enter the tournament's playoffs.
After a long and exhausting day filled with upsets and delays, only eight teams remain in contention for the first prize of €6,000. The four group winners from the first stage will be joined by the group winners and the runners-up of the second group stage in the single-elimination bracket, played in a best-of-three mode.
The most interesting match of the quarter-finals will see Natus Vincere locking horns with VeryGames, who will have to give much better account of themselves than they did on the first day of the tournament if they are to reach the podium.
Ninjas in Pyjamas have been handed a relatively easy task as they will tackle Nostalgie, while ESC Gaming have been pitted against LDLC.com. The last match of the quarter-finals will see Anexis meet TCM-Gaming.
